  • Congratulations to Naomi Menefee with Highwoods Properties for her commitment and dedication to continued education and her accomplishment of earning the RPA designation (Real Property Administrator).
  • Congratulations to Amy Slattery with BNIM for being recognized by The American Institute of Architects with the 2011 AIA Young Architects Award.
  • Mary Jane Judy with Polsinelli Shughart PC was appointed by Mayor Sly James as Chair of the Liquor Control Board of Review for Kansas City, Missouri.
  • Michelle Suter with Commercial Law Firm was named a Super Lawyer for 2011 and also voted to Best of the Bar by the Kansas City Business Journal.
  • Shirley Harpool with Varnum-Armstrong-Deeter was appointed a director to the CCIM Education Foundation Board of Directors. She was then appointed Chair of the CCIM Education Scholarship Committee. Shirley currently serves as Chair of the CCIM Institute Legislative Subcommittee and she is the past president of the local Kansas City CCIM Chapter.
  • Rosana Privitera Biondo of Mark One Electric in Kansas City recently participated in a meeting with top staffers from Sen. Sherrod Brown's (D-OH) office to discuss the need for legislation to provide more investment tax credits for the industrial sector. Rosana testified before the Subcommittee on Contracting and Workforce of the House Small Business Committee on behalf of the Women Construction Owners and Executives (WCOE) wherein she addressed one of NECA's legislative issues, bid shopping.
  • Congratulations to Jenni Glass for being selected as the City of Parkville's new Executive Director of Economic Development.
  • In her capacity as 2011 KC CREW President, Marcia Charney with Stinson Morrison Hecker LLC was selected as one of the judges for the Kansas City Business Journal's 2011 Capstone Awards, which honors outstanding real estate development projects and transactions throughout the Kansas City area.
