KC CREW’s Community Services Committee strives to involve members of KC CREW in chartable projects and organizations benefiting the metropolitan Kansas City area. In 2004, KC CREW adopted the Women’s Employment Network (WEN) as its charitable partner. The Community Services Committee, often together with other KC CREW committees, plans and holds events to benefit WEN, an organization which provides comprehensive employment preparation and career transition programs, workshops and services to women throughout the Kansas City area. Past events have included three successful KC CREW golf tournaments, the Island CREWS pre-golf event, a wine tasting and cooking demonstration, as well as participation in the Heart-to-Heart Luncheon and the WEN Gala celebrating 20 years of transforming the lives of area women.
KC CREW encourages its members to give back to the community, and the Community Services Committee is charged with identifying and implementing opportunities for members to get involved.
